Almost everything is either original or an oem Nissan replacement part. It is a fun, reliable daily driver. I was driving it back and forth to Birmingham with no problems up until I bought my new vehicle. Mechanically, it´s about as good as Z´s get. Cosmetically, there are some projects that have been on my list, but never bothered me enough to worry with. I always worry about aftermarket junk on vehicles like this. The only mechanical alteration is the addition of camber adjusting tension rods in the front suspension. The cars didn´t come from the factory with any adjustment for camber. The bars fix that. My priority with this Z was always to maintain reliability and performance. If you´re looking for a reliable daily driver, that also happens to be incredibly fun to drive, this is it. If you´re looking for a cheap, riced out pile of mismatched, low-quality aftermarket parts, this one´s not for you.Information and Options:3.0L V6, non-turbo 5speed manual transmissionTires have ~80% of treadPower steering, power brakes, power windows, power locks, cloth seats, cruiseGreat air conditioningRemovable t-tops that do not leak, including leather covers for stowing in the trunkAftermarket stereo, professionally installed, including all speakers, 10in subwoofer, and amp mounted under the passenger seatCondition:- All major maintenance performed at 145,000 including timing belt, tensioner, drive belts, water pump, thermostat, cam seals, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs. - Radiator replaced about a 1000 miles ago along with both temp sensors. Hoses in good shape. - Valve cover seals have a slow leak. Rear main has a very slow leak. I add less than 1/2 qt oil between oil changes. There is also a slow power steering fluid leak. I just top it off at oil changes.- Crank angle sensor and mass airflow sensor have both been replaced in the last 7000 miles. - Diehl Nissan recently did a full inspection. The paperwork shows that everything checked out, but they recommended changing shifter bearings. They´re a little loose, but it doesn´t both me. - Clutch pedal squeaks from wear on a connecting pin. Its perfectly safe, but when it squeaks when its humid outside.- On cold winter mornings a bearing somewhere gets too tight and whines until warm. I had it checked a few years ago and they said not to worry about. It will surprise you though if you´re not ready for it.- Front bumper was broken by the state emissions inspectors in Texas. Bumper looks pretty bad. A replacement from Nissan is about $500. Non-Nissan bumpers are less. - Paint shows its age. Normal chips and wear. It´s never been wrecked since I´ve had it, but I don´t have a full history prior to 78,000 miles when I bought it. Email me to request more pictures. Craigslist only allows the 4 small ones. The instrument gauge cluster was also modified with red needles and polished metal trim rings. In the performance department, the ZHP was equipped with the more aggressive DME tune to increase power from 225 hp (168 kW) to 235 hp (175 kW).[18] The engine redline raised from 6,500 rpm to 6,800 rpm to take advantage of the new power band and higher power output at higher RPMs.[19] As a result of the higher redline, the nut that fastens the oil pump´s sprocket came with threadlocker pre-applied from the factory to keep the nut from falling off. The car also received a shorter final drive ratio which allows for faster acceleration; 3.64 vs. 3.38 for the automatic. Car and Driver magazine track-tested the car, which returned a 0-60 mph time of 5.6 seconds and passed through the 1/4 mile in 14.3 seconds. Suspension was modified over the standard suspension with firmer springs and dampers, larger anti-roll bars, stronger front control arm ball joints, a lower ride height, and slightly more negative camber.[19] The Style 135M wheels also came equipped with the much stickier compound, Michelin Pilot Sport tires, in a staggered configuration with 225/40-18 tires in the front and 255/35-18 tires in the back.The sport package was available on all E46´s, excluding cars with the Performance package and the M3. It consisted of a three spoke sports leather steering wheel and had improved grip over the standard ´square´ steering wheel. The car was also given sport seats which provided better bolstering and support than the stock seats. They also had adjustable thigh supports and were available in manual or power. Details: This is a great example of on of the classic Land Cruisers! It only has 150,XXX miles! They are hard to find with low miles but will run forever. This FJ62 comes with newish 33´ tires and a medium OME lift kit with shocks and steering stabilizer. Th interior and headliner are in nice shape for the age. The 4WD works perfectly in HI and LO as it does in all of these Cruisers. It never has any trouble starting up and always runs cool. The few issues with the truck are: faded paint on the roof (even though it is really too tall to see with the lift), the dash pad has a crack in it, the oil gauge is dead (I have hooked up a mechanical gauge and it has normal oil pressure) the windshield has a crack and a few chips but they are not too bad and have not gotten worse (the windshield passed inspection at the DMV) and the only spot of rust is on the hood, there is NO RUST any where else. I would guess that the frame was sprayed or painted with something at some point because it has a black coating on it and no rust. All the speakers are aftermarket and there is a head unit in it with an iPod hook up. It will probably need a new antenna in the future but the motor works, the mast is just bent. The drivers seat has the typical tear and hole in it that are common with all of these trucks.
